Red-haired, independent, educated, German-speaking chick
Hi - I'm a native Portlander, just received my MA in German, well-traveled, well-spoken, spirited lady. I speak 2.5 languages and have studied multiple others, love languages & culture. I love the outdoors, the Oregon coast, writing, music, and, of course, beer. I do smoke occasionally, but not often and never inside. I do drive a car (we're not all evil), I do eat meat (but consciously), I recycle & compost, and I would consider myself a left-leaning moderate politically. So, hit me up if you're on the same page - lass uns mal schauen.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Speak 4 languages, possibly living abroad, own and run a neighborhood cafe/bar, friends all over the world, practice yoga, meditate, published author & musician.
What are some pieces of art, films or books or songs that turn you on? MUSIC - Keane, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova, Annie Lennox, U2, Alice in Chains, Submarien, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Polarkreis 18, Xavier Naidoo
BOOKS - I read mainly non-fiction
ART - I prefer performing art over fine/visual.
The last concert I went to was: Keane at the Roseland - 2nd row, it ROCKED.
My hottest feature is: my smile. =)
The first section of Willamette Week I turn to is: Astrology
My greatest dream is to travel to all 7 continents in the world (3 down, 4 to go) but my worst nightmare is ...
When I'm having a bad day, I go out for coffee
The glass is: half-empty - I'm an idealistic realist.
The quickest way to my heart is meaning what you say and not being a douchebag The quickest way to my bed is an intellectual connection and in the morning, I like my eggs cooked hard-boiled
My greatest strength is my independent spirit and my greatest weakness is trying to be the best at everything
The best thing about Portland is the people And the worst is self-righteous super-liberals who scream at me for being a moderate and considering all sides without polarizing every issue. Intolerance is intolerance, right OR left - I can't stand it from anyone.
Something I swore I'd never do but did anyway was ...
One thing I want to do before I die is travel to Antarctica
It's Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I'm not sleeping, I'm drinking coffee & out for brunch
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are addicts or former addicts now sober and facial hair
My ideal mate has the brain of a laid-back, humble intellectual and the body of someone fit
